Experience Some Local Intrigue and History In Your Short Term Rental In Charlotte

Everyone loves a good tale of mystery and intrigue.  We have one you can witness while in your short term rental in Charlotte, with just a short drive.  If you head up to Cleveland, NC, you can find the grave of Peter Stuart Ney.  This grave has a strange inscription, however.  It includes the achievements and dates belonging to Michel Ney, a decorated Marshal in Napoleon’s army.  It wouldn’t be the first time someone had changed their name and moved to a new country to get away from their past, especially back then.  The only problem is that Peter Ney died in 1846, and Michel Ney was put to death by firing squad following Waterloo in 1815!

It is our pleasure to provide this information. If you are traveling to the city/market area for short term rental in Charlotte or are in need of a furnished suites in Charlotte please consider A Home On The Go.
